1. Acceptance

By using FairSplit ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Service Description

FairSplit provides:

• Free household quiz — a 2-minute assessment that calculates how household tasks are split between partners
• Partner comparison — share the quiz with your partner and compare answers
• Detailed report (paid) — an expanded breakdown of your household task split with personalised insights
• Task tracker (paid subscription) — a dashboard to log and track household tasks over time

3. Accounts

FairSplit uses email-based authentication via magic links. You are responsible for maintaining access to the email address you use with FairSplit. You must provide accurate information and not impersonate others.

4. Payments & Subscriptions

• Payments are processed securely by Stripe. FairSplit does not store your card details.
• The detailed report is a one-time purchase.
• The task tracker is a recurring subscription billed monthly.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact support@thefairsplitapp.online for refund requests.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Provide false or misleading information
• Attempt to access another user's data without authorisation
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the Service

6. Intellectual Property

All content, design, and code on FairSplit is owned by FairSplit. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without permission. Your quiz responses and task data remain yours.

7. Disclaimer

FairSplit is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. The quiz results and task tracking are informational tools, not professional advice. We make no guarantees about the accuracy of score calculations or their impact on your relationship.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FairSplit shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Privacy

Your use of FairSplit is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data.

10. Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing support@thefairsplitapp.online. We will process deletion requests within 30 days. Active subscriptions will be cancelled upon account deletion.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of FairSplit after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
