• Email address — provided when you take the quiz or sign in to the task tracker
• Quiz answers and scores — your responses to the household quiz, calculated scores, and category breakdowns
• Partner information — your partner's email when you invite them, and their quiz responses for comparison
• Task logs — tasks logged in the tracker app, including category, who completed them, and timestamps
• Household settings — task customisation preferences shared between partners
• Payment information — processed securely by Stripe. We store only your Stripe customer ID and purchase status, never card details.
• Referral and analytics data — UTM parameters, referral codes, and page view events to understand how people find FairSplit

2. How We Use Your Data

• Generate your quiz results and partner comparison
• Power the task tracker dashboard and weekly summaries
• Send transactional emails (quiz results, partner notifications, weekly stats)
• Process payments for premium features (detailed report, task tracker subscription)
• Understand which marketing channels bring users to FairSplit

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers or data brokers.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following services to operate FairSplit:

• Supabase — database and authentication (stores your quiz data, task logs, and account)
• Stripe — payment processing (handles all card and billing information directly)
• Brevo — email delivery (sends transactional and summary emails)
• Netlify — website hosting
• Google Fonts — font delivery (DM Serif Display, Inter)

Each service has its own privacy policy governing how they handle your data.

4. Local Storage

FairSplit uses your browser's local storage to remember referral and UTM tracking codes, and your notification preferences. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to third parties.

5. Data Retention

Your quiz results and task logs are retained as long as your account is active. If you request deletion, we will remove your data within 30 days.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of all data we hold about you
• Delete — request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Correct — request correction of inaccurate data
• Port — request your data in a portable format
• Opt out — unsubscribe from emails at any time via the link in each email

7. Children's Privacy

FairSplit is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication (magic links via Supabase), and PCI-compliant payment processing (Stripe). No system is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of FairSplit after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
